Depression

Have you ever felt like you’re alone, even when you’re in a room full of people? Do you feel like you’re not “good enough?”Or that you don’t deserve love, respect, and kindness? Do you feel like you are a burden to other?If any of that sounds familiar, you may be experiencing symptoms of depression. Depression can occure as a single episode, or can be a larger ongoing issue such as with Major Depressive Disorder. Patients with depression often engage in negative self-talk, and genuinely belive they are unworthy of love and affection.

Other symptoms of depression can include:

  • Feelings of sadness, emptiness, or hopelessness
  • Angry outbursts, irritability, or frustration, even over small matters
  • Sleep disturbances, including sleeping too much or not enough
  • Fatigue, including feeling like small tasks take to much effort
  • Reduced appetite and weight loss, or increased cravings and weight gain
  • Frequent or recurrent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts or intentions
  • Unexplained physical problems, such as back pain or headaches
